Teaching Social Skills at Home

Is your child the one to knock over the blocks when others were working hard on their tower? Does your child have a hard time congratulating others when they lose? Does your child pitch a fit when others don't want to play what they want to play?

This time at home opens up a great opportunity for you contrive real-life scenarios to see how your child responds.

For instance, try 'stealing their toy' while playing - see how they respond. Do they try to hit you? Do they scream? This is a real-life scenario that your child may encounter at school. Learning how to respond at home can help to translate how to respond at school!

For questions or assistance on 1) how to contrive scenarios and/or 2) how to TEACH your children how to appropriately respond in difficult social/play situations📩 //> services -> parent consult
